The Paul Gender County couple is facing allegations of child abuse.
Deputies say Andrea and Wesley Thomas are being charged with batteries and cruelty.

Investigators were called to the school for reports of potential physical abuse against a student when the child was not at school last month.
Pauling County Child Advocacy Center says they had visited the baby.

They say the couple is the legal guardians of the child.
